Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 4:30–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 253-1077. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vinniesitalian.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Chicken piccata and chicken ala vodka were absolutely amazing. Definitely get the broccolini as a side and an appetizer of the arancini is a must. Their desserts were all delicious also. Portion wise it's all shareable and the service was fantastic.

seriously SUCH delicious food! wait was a little long on a wednesday night, but the food was worth it! you have to try the arancini balls as an appetizer and since it was a wednesday, HIGHLY recommend the house-made gnocchi! i got it with the creamy pesto, but would have been delish with any sauce 🩷 and the garlic-infused oil & bread they bring - chef’s kiss! highly recommend!

We came on a Saturday night so as to be expected there was a bit of a wait. They did have a pitcher of water and some cups in the waiting area, loved that. We got sat right around the given wait time which I believe was 35-40 mins. I ordered the baked penne and my boyfriend had the lasagna. We both loved our meals! Can’t really see the food because we like a lot of parm, oops. But it was good haha.

Service was good and the main dishes were adequate, but not outstanding, especially for the prices. The saving grace that made the experience worthwhile was actually the dessert. The Italian Wedding Cake was phenomenal. It was devoured before I could get a good picture, so you'll have to check that one out for yourself.

We had an amazing dinner here on our 1 night stay in Asheville. Mykayla was our server, and she was awesome - super attentive and really nice. The portion sizes are generous and everything was delicious. The Caesar salad is a must-get. My boyfriend had the flounder - he’s a big fish person - and he said it was perfect. I had the spaghetti with Sunday gravy and it was the perfect comfort meal. We couldn’t decide between the tiramisu or the cheesecake so we got both, and had no regrets. 10/10, thanks for the great service Mykayla! πŸ’—
